Ceramic filters have a micro porous structure with impregnated silver which delays the growth of bacteria. The pore-size of Katadyn ceramic filters is 0.2 micron (0.0002 mm). Bacteria range in size from 0.2 to 5 micron and like protozoa (1 – 15 micron), are efficiently filtered out. Ceramic filters can be mechanically regenerated and the filter capacity is measurable.
The Mini Filter treats drinking water with the proven 0.2 micron, silver impregnated Katadyn ceramic filter element. Excellent for camping, biking, travel, etc., the Mini filters out carriers of dangerous illnesses such as Giardia, Cholera, Typhoid, amebiasis, salmonella and others.
Microfiltration method: Field-cleanable 0.2 micron ceramic depth filter removes bacteria, cysts and sediment.
Output: Approximately 0.5 quarts (0.5 liters per minute).
