Description   This 1 micron sediment prefilter is used in the UCD undercounter filter and WH whole house models. It provides ultra-clean, cyst-free (Cryptosporidium, Giardia) water. (1 micron is 1/25,000 of an inch, a human hair is about 100 microns in diameter). Deep pleat design (made from 100% polypropylene) has up to 10 times the life of other type filters. Less than 1 psi pressure drop at 8 gpm. Temperature range of 40 degrees to 140 degrees. Will also fit housings designed for standard 9 ¾" X 2 1/2" cartridges. Flow rates up to 4 gpm.
